Sources for Testing    
Let's say you have this idea for a visualization or application, or you're just curious about some trend. But you have a problem. You can't find the data, and without the data, you can't even start. This is a guide and a list of sources for where you can find that data you're looking for. There's a lot out there.

   Government Sources A good source of large amounts of data is from the government. 
Social Security Admin
Baby Names - A good example is the names site of the Social Security Admin. where they record new social security numbers. They also keep track of the most popular baby names every year from 1879. You can download all the data for the entire period (from 1879 to 2014). 
Census Bureau - Census Bureau Data
